I think there's too much barrel effect (distortion) for a portrait photo. I believe you were using a wide focal length. The ideal focal length for a portrait would be around 1xx~200mm.
But there's a nice "2046" feel with this folders, maybe it's because of the washed-out colors and darken corner. (were these intended?)
it's not about photo taking, it's a stupid normal digital camera, stupid siu fai! Told ya before, I am a developer, I know nothing about design and photo taking, of coz. It's all RGB adjustment using Paint. NET and increasing contrast. Of coz, again, don't think I'd have photoshop at home... XD
It's great? I wanna give that a try but my computer has problems with the .Net Framework ever since Year 3 (that;s when we first installed it..) so I probably won't want to install it again.
老媽說我我怎麼都不會擺甫士影相，怎麼一點也學不到她的技術。老媽，我可是自然派的哦，不會造作，所以還是影video的好。。。不過你看你看，相片經RGB調色後，立刻像樣一點吧。。。我還是需靠特別效果來使自己看起來好一點呢，哈哈哈。。。老媽安慰說我是真人比相漂亮，我問她那是不是好事，她說總好過真人比相醜。唔，那是因為再比這些相還要醜的話就真的很可怕吧，實在不怎麼安慰呢。XD

siu fai, everything is done in Paint .NET, don't expect too much, hahahaha....
