The story of Remaerd

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Remaerd. When she was two, she told her parents that she's going to be a child care teacher when she's ten. Parents laughed and asked her would ten be old enough to work. Then she entered elementary school when she's six. Since her parents are teachers as well, the only well-known occupation to her was teacher. Her dad was a secondary school teacher, but since she has no idea what secondary school teacher does, so she told herself that she will become an elementary teacher someday. Then she went into a secondary school when she's twelve. All secondary school teachers are nice, and it looks interesting to teach in a secondary school. Therefore Remaerd changed her mind again.

Nevertheless this thought did not last long. Remaerd had been watching some television program about the excitement of being a police woman, or ICAC detector, so she started to think maybe she can be one of those. The truth is, she was more ambitious than that, she would like to be a world-police who she thought has supreme power and can protect important people. She even thought of she's already one. When baddies come to attack the school, she's going to protect the school with a gun hidden under her cheongsam style school uniform. No matter how ambitious she was, her family had decided to move overseas.

Remaerd was fifteen and her mind had grown up a little bit already. She started to think about something more realistic. She thought maybe she can be an astronomer, studying all about the stars, the galaxies, the supernovae. This thought changed dramatically after her fifth form school certificate exam because there was a difficult question about observation of the locus of a star. This difficult question worthed only two points out of a hundred, but it was enough to back Remaerd off.

Then she thought maybe she can be a criminologist, who study about the etiology of crime. Unfortunately there wasn't any course for criminology in local universities and the ones near by. Therefore she gave up this choice. After watching more television programs, Remaerd thought autopsist was a good choice of career too. Very soon she knew that being an autopsist was probably too much for her because she first had to get rid of her blood and wound phobia.

Besides all these options, Remaerd had also considered the following: a novel writer (but she could not write long stuff), a backpacker that work everywhere (which is not really an occupation), a coffee shop owner (a coffee shop by the sea), an airline hostess (but she could not balance well), a lawyer, a psychologist (who dislike Freud), an All-Blacks administrator, a princess (unfortunately her dad was not a king), Charles Xavier's assistant, Autobots administrator, an outlaw (like Robin Hood and Arsène Lupin),a magician (like Merlin with real magic).

Anyway, she's a software girl now.
